A Birder's First Flight

Imagine stepping to the edge of the nest and taking an initial flight into the wider world of birds.

The Cornell Lab of Ornithology offers such an opportunity to high-school-age bird-watchers each year. With its Young Birders Event, the lab gives fledgling birders a full experience of ornithology and provides important networking possibilities for students looking to build a career studying birds.
